Integrating Liferay Data Platform with Liferay DXP
Connect Liferay DXP to Liferay Data Platform (LDP) to ingest site activity, individuals, and accounts from DXP into your LDP workspace.
Liferay Data Platform extends Liferay Analytics Cloud with additional data source connectors and customer-data capabilities. The DXP-side connection flow is unchanged from Analytics Cloud, and the DXP control panel uses Analytics Cloud terminology.
Prerequisites
Before connecting DXP to your LDP workspace, ensure these requirements are met:
- Access to an LDP workspace
- Liferay DXP 7.4 2024.Q1+ or 7.3 U30+ (hotfix required for 7.3)

Connect Liferay DXP
The high-level flow matches connecting DXP to Analytics Cloud:

In your LDP workspace, go to Settings → Data Sources, add a Liferay DXP data source, and copy the generated token.

In Liferay DXP, open the Global Menu (
), go to Control Panel → Instance Settings → Analytics Cloud, paste the token, and click Connect. -
Assign a property, choose the sites and channels to sync, and select which individual and account attributes to send.

Segment Sync Interval
Liferay DXP pulls the segment list from Analytics Cloud on a schedule, so a new segment does not appear in Liferay DXP right away. The job runs every 60 minutes by default. To change the interval, open the Global Menu () and go to Control Panel → System Settings → Segments → Analytics Cloud Segments, then set Update Interval. The value is in minutes, and the minimum is 1. The setting is system scoped, so one value covers every virtual instance.
