Integrating Liferay Data Platform with Liferay DXP

Private Beta Feature

Connect Liferay DXP to Liferay Data Platform (LDP) to ingest site activity, individuals, and accounts from DXP into your LDP workspace.

Liferay Data Platform extends Liferay Analytics Cloud with additional data source connectors and customer-data capabilities. The DXP-side connection flow is unchanged from Analytics Cloud, and the DXP control panel still uses Analytics Cloud terminology during the private beta.

Prerequisites

Before connecting DXP to your LDP workspace, ensure these requirements are met:

  • Access to an LDP workspace
  • Liferay DXP 7.4 2024.Q1+ or 7.3 U30+ (hotfix required for 7.3)

Connect Liferay DXP

The high-level flow matches connecting DXP to Analytics Cloud:

  1. In your LDP workspace, go to Settings → Data Sources, add a Liferay DXP data source, and copy the generated token.

  2. In Liferay DXP, open the Global Menu, go to Control Panel → Instance Settings → Analytics Cloud, paste the token, and click Connect.

  3. Assign a property, choose the sites and channels to sync, and select which individual and account attributes to send.
