Private Beta Feature Liferay Data Platform 2026.Q2+

The Assets dashboard provides a centralized view of content performance in Liferay Data Platform (LDP). Use it to analyze engagement metrics for web content, documents, media, blogs, forms, widgets, and custom structures created in the Liferay Content Management System (CMS).

To access the dashboard, click Assets in the Touchpoints section of the navigation menu.

Navigate to Assets from the Touchpoints section in the navigation menu.

Analyzing Assets

The dashboard displays tracked assets in a dataset table and provides controls for searching, filtering, and segmenting performance data.

Use the controls above the table to refine the displayed data.

  • Time Range (1): Use the Time Range drop-down menu to select a predefined time range.

  • Filters (2): Narrow results by type, tag, category, and file type.

  • Search (3): Find assets by title.

  • Views (4): Switch between available table views. To create a custom view, click Actions next to the view selector and select Save View As….

Assets Table

The table lists tracked assets and their performance metrics.

ColumnDescription
TitleThe asset’s title.
TypeThe asset type.
ViewsThe number of times users viewed the asset.
ImpressionsThe number of times the asset was displayed to users.
DownloadsThe number of times users downloaded the asset.

You can sort the table by available columns to identify top-performing assets and compare content performance.

Note

Categories and tags are available as filters and in asset details starting in 2026.Q2. On earlier versions, the asset details page shows empty states for categories and tags.

Viewing Asset Details

Click an asset title from the main table to open its dedicated workspace details page.

The asset workspace organizes metric analysis into two main tabs: Overview and Known Individuals.

Overview Tab

Review granular charts, audience charts, geographic demographics, and reference logs for an individual asset.

  • Visitors Behavior (1): Shows summary cards for core counters (such as Views and Impressions) alongside an interactive time-series chart. Select the Compare to previous checkbox to overlay the previous period’s data on the chart for comparison.

  • Audience (2): Shows the audience interacting with the asset, broken down by Anonymous and Known Individuals, segmented and unsegmented traffic, and the top audience segments engaging with the content.

  • Views by Location (3): Shows where viewers are located on an interactive world map, broken down by country with each country’s percentage of total views.

  • Views by Technology (4): Identifies views by Devices (Desktop, Phone, Tablet) or Browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox).

  • Asset Appears On (5): Lists the pages where the asset appears. For each page, it shows the Page Name, Canonical URL, and the performance metrics recorded on that page.

Known Individuals Tab

The Known Individuals tab lists identified profiles that have interacted with the selected asset.

View the list of identified users who have interacted with the content asset.

Use the available search and filtering controls to refine the displayed data. The table displays each individual’s name and email address.

Click an individual’s row to open their profile in the Individuals section.

Note

Some asset types display additional metrics based on their configuration. For example, forms show Submissions, Abandonment, and Completion Time, while standard media assets display Views and Impressions.
