SEO & AEO Studio Configuration Reference
Private Beta Feature
SEO & AEO Studio’s options are in the Configurations and Settings pages. Use the Configurations page for Studio-wide options and the Settings page for the individual domain’s options. For configuration procedures, see Scanning Pages and Connecting Google Services to SEO & AEO Studio.
Configurations Page
Use the Configurations page, in the left navigation’s Admin group, to connect your Liferay DXP instance, add your domain, and connect Google PageSpeed Insights.
Instances
Use the Instances section to connect SEO & AEO Studio to your Liferay DXP instance, which Autofix requires. The section appears only after you save a value in the Liferay DXP URL field on AI Hub’s Configurations page.
Liferay DXP URL: Your instance’s address from AI Hub, read-only.
Client ID and Client Secret: The OAuth 2 application credentials Autofix uses to write to your instance.
Domains
The Domains section holds the one domain SEO & AEO Studio scans. It must be the site’s root address rather than an individual page, directory, or subpath:
- It must include the protocol (
http://orhttps://) and the hostname. - It may optionally include a port number and a trailing slash.
- It cannot contain a subpath, query string, URL fragment, or credentials.
For example, https://www.example.com and https://www.example.com:8443/ are accepted, while https://www.example.com/blog isn’t valid (because it specifies a subpath).
Integrations
The Integrations table lists the Google PageSpeed Insights connection with these columns:
Integration: The name of the connected service.
Status: The connection state. A connected integration shows ACTIVE.
Date Added: The date of the integration’s connection.
Settings Page
Use the Settings page to schedule scans and set their scope under Health Scan, and to connect Google Search Console under Integrations. The Integrations table has the same columns as the Configurations page’s Integrations table. Its statuses are ACTIVE, INACTIVE (disabled), and UNAVAILABLE (revoked or expired authorization).
Schedule
Turn on Auto Scan to run scans on a schedule. It’s off by default and has these settings:
| Setting | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily, Weekly, or Monthly | Daily |
| Day of Week (Weekly only) | Monday through Sunday | Monday |
| Day of Month (Monthly only) | 1 through 31 | 1 |
| Time | The time of day to scan | 00:00 |
| Time Zone | The time zone for Time | The time zone in your user settings |
Scope
Use the Scope section to turn each scan engine on or off and set its limits. Both engines are off by default.
Crawler Insights: Produces the insights on the On Page and Technical pages.
Google PageSpeed Insights: Produces the PageSpeed scores on the Technical page. It requires the Google PageSpeed Insights integration.
Each engine you turn on has these settings:
| Setting | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Max Pages per Scan | 100, 500, or 1000 | 100 |
| Max Crawl Depth (Crawler Insights only) | 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 24 | 2 |
| Max Duration | 1, 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours | 24 hours |
Max Pages per Scan: The maximum number of pages the engine reads during a single scan. For best results, set this to match or exceed the total number of public pages on your site (up to 1000).
Max Crawl Depth: The maximum number of pages in a row the engine crawls by following links from the starting page.
Max Duration: The maximum time the engine runs during a single scan before it stops.
