Connecting Liferay Data Platform to HubSpot
Private Beta Feature Liferay Data Platform 2026.Q2+
Connect your HubSpot account to Liferay Data Platform (LDP) to ingest marketing event data into your workspace.
Only one HubSpot integration is active per LDP workspace.
Prerequisites
Before connecting HubSpot, ensure these requirements are met:
-
You have the Owner or Admin role in your LDP workspace.
-
You have access to a HubSpot account with permission to create webhooks and manage integrations.
Add a Data Source
-
In the LDP panel, navigate to Settings → Data Sources.
-
Click Add Data Source and select HubSpot.
-
LDP generates a webhook endpoint URL and an authentication token. Copy both values. You need them to configure HubSpot.
-
Click Continue.
Configure HubSpot to Send Events
In your HubSpot account, set up a webhook in a contact-based workflow that sends events to the LDP endpoint:
-
In a HubSpot workflow, add a webhook action and set the request URL to the LDP endpoint URL.
-
Configure authentication using the LDP-provided token as the Bearer token.
-
Repeat for each event type you want to send to LDP (for example, email clicks, form submissions, or webinar attendance).
LDP receives these events as they fire and maps them to the corresponding unified individual profile in your workspace.
See Webhook Payload Reference for required fields and best practices for structuring your HubSpot webhook payload.
Assign Properties
To make HubSpot data available in LDP, associate it with one or more properties:
-
Choose which properties receive the data:
-
To assign specific properties, click Select and pick one or more from the modal.
-
To make it available across the entire workspace (including properties created later), select the Make individual data from this data source available in all properties, including those not yet created checkbox instead.
-
-
Click Finish Setup.
View Ingested Events
After events start flowing, open an individual’s detail page in the Individuals dashboard and click the Activities tab. The chronological event timeline shows the individual’s ingested events.
Manage the Connection
Go to Settings → Data Sources and select the HubSpot data source. From this page, you can:
-
Edit the name using the Pencil icon (
). The name must be unique and cannot exceed 75 characters. -
View the authentication status.
-
Click Disconnect Data Source to stop the integration. After disconnecting, existing data remains in assigned properties, but new events are no longer ingested.
