Data Portability and Switching
You can export your data and switch from Liferay Cloud to another environment during your subscription. This section provides an overview of switching and links to the resources required to retrieve your data and complete the switching process.
Liferay Cloud supports data portability and switching in accordance with applicable regulations, including the EU Data Act (Chapter VI – Switching between data processing services).
This information applies to Liferay Cloud services, including SaaS, PaaS, and Analytics Cloud (Liferay Data Platform).
What Switching Means
Switching is the one-time transfer of your data and digital assets from Liferay Cloud to another cloud service provider, your own infrastructure (on-premises), or no destination (data export followed by deletion).
You control when to start the process and how to perform the data export.
What to Expect
The switching process includes submitting a request, exporting data using available tools, migrating and validating data in your destination environment, and completing the process.
You manage the migration and destination environment, while Liferay maintains service availability during the process and provides access to your data.
