Options to upload directories and files to the document library maintaining their tree structure

Issue

• What options are there to upload directories and files to the document library respecting their tree structure?

Environment

• Liferay DXP 7.0+

Resolution

• There are two main options:
  1. WebDav allows updating directory trees from another machine using the corresponding url.
  2. Liferay Sync provides the same functionality after downloading the plugin from the marketplace and installing the desktop application.
• Note: WebDav maybe be significantly slower than Liferay Sync if the directory tree has many elements.
