Cannot manage files uploaded to User Personal Folder (accessible from Web Content Upload field)

Issue

• Created a Web Content structure using the Upload field
• When a new Web Content Article is created, two upload tabs are available:
  • User Personal Folder
  • Documents and Media
• Where can we access and manage files that are uploaded to User Personal Folder?
• Is it possible to disable the User Personal Folder upload tab?

Environment

• Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

• The files from this Web Content Upload field go to the journal portlet file repository within Documents and Media, that is a hidden folder.
• There is a property which you can use to access these files from Documents and Media:
  

  # Set this to true to show hidden mount folders.
  # Env: LIFERAY_DL_PERIOD_SHOW_PERIOD_HIDDEN_PERIOD_MOUNT_PERIOD_FOLDERS
  
  dl.show.hidden.mount.folders=false

• This is an advanced option and we do not recommend this in production so you may proceed at your own discretion.
• If not hidden, users could delete or modify these file entries and in turn, break the web contents. By editing the folder's permissions directly, you can achieve that this folder is visible to Administrators only. 
• If you want to disable the User Personal Folder upload tab, you can blacklist the following component (see Blacklisting OSGi Components):
