Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.2 with fix pack 16
- Elasticsearch Version 7.16.2
- Liferay Connector to Elasticsearch 7 v3.2.2
Resolution
- In DXP 7.2, the fix pack 16 does not contain LPS-144881 nor LPS-144128 and that is why it contains version 2.13.3 of log4j jars, however, this is completely fine if the portal core and Liferay Foundation - Liferay Connector to Elasticsearch 6 - Impl.lpkg gets patched with the up-to-date log4j jars in the provided core hotfix for the same.
- If the mentioned path remains a source of concern, please upgrade to Fix Pack 17, which includes log4j 2.17.0 jars, then install a new hotfix on top of this fix pack to patch core code.
