Issue

  • When using English (United Kingdom), English (Australia), or English (Canada) as the default language in Liferay DXP page, the default page displays a placeholder message instead of the expected "Welcome to Liferay."

A paragraph is a self-contained unit of a discourse in writing dealing with a particular point or idea. Paragraphs are usually an expected part of formal writing, used to organize longer prose.

Environment

  • Quarterly Release

Resolution

  • This behavior is expected as the Welcome Site initializer doesn't have direct translations for the non-US English.
  • If you set a non-US English as the default language, the fragment lacks a translation and uses this default text as the fallback
