How to check current Liferay Version in SaaS environments?

Issue

SaaS and Liferay Cloud (LXC) console configurations obscure traditional startup logs or file system indicators. Because of this restriction, administrators tracking patch levels or feature availability cannot easily verify their active platform build.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 2024.Q2
  • Liferay Experience Cloud (LXC)

Resolution

To identify the running version of your platform, view the metadata directly within the administrative interface. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Global Menu (global menu icon) and navigate to the Control Panel tab.
  2. Click Instance Settings under the Configuration section.
  3. Locate the platform version build string displayed within the main configuration header.
