Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

0.) Use a vanilla Liferay 7.4 with the latest quarterly release.
1.) Go to Design --> Page Templates --> Display Page Templates.
2.) Create a display-page-template with content type "Web Content Article" --> "Basic Web Content".
3.) Set the new display-page-template as default.
4.) Create a new article based on the ""Basic Web Content".
5.) After the article is created from the actions click "View Content".
6.) Edit the new display-page-template.
7.) Add a web content display, in it display the article. Add under the web content display a Page Comments widget and publish the display-page-template.
8.) Save the URL of the display-page-template and access it from incognito.
9.) Try to add content in the Page Comments and click "Reply as...".

Outcome: The Sign In portlet appears, allowing you to leave a comment as a Guest by selecting "Guest" and completing the required fields (First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Text Verification). Following these steps should enable you to leave a comment as a Guest.
