Issue

  • Analytics Cloud is not getting configured when using an access token.
  • The following error appears in the logs:
ERROR [default task-26][ExceptionMapper:79] unable to find valid certification path to requested target
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Environment

  • Analytics Cloud

Resolution

Check the network connectivity between the DXP instance and Analytics Cloud and the certificates in your JRE:

  1. Verify Network Connectivity:
    • Ensure your DXP instance has network connectivity to Analytics Cloud. For detailed instructions on checking connectivity, refer to this article: Connecting Data Sources.
    • If your servers are behind a firewall, ensure all required network traffic for Analytics Cloud is allowed. The necessary URLs can be found in the documentation Connecting Liferay DXP to Analytics Cloud.
  2. Verify Certificates:
    • Make sure your server's JRE contains the required CA root certificates. The server must be able to complete SSL handshakes with all Analytics Cloud endpoints.
    • Update the JRE's cacerts or add the required certificates to your application server's keystore.
