PortalUUID: 'cannot find symbol' in Service Builder module

Issue

  • When trying to build my Service Builder module, the following error is thrown in *PersisenceImpl.java classes: cannot find symbol PortalUUID
  • *PersisenceImpl.java classes contain the following reference: 
    @Reference
    private PortalUUID _portalUUID;

Environment

  • Liferay Workspace targeting dxp-7.3-u34 or dxp-7.4-u100 (or higher)

Resolution

  • PortalUUID and PortalUUIDImpl have been merged into PortalUUIDUtil in LPS-196204.
  • You must use version 9.0.4 or newer of com.liferay.gradle.plugins.workspace in your settings.gradle: 
    dependencies {   classpath group: “com.liferay”, name: “com.liferay.gradle.plugins.workspace”, version: “9.0.4"
     }
