When all pages are selected, a new page is not published to live

Issue

  • A new page is not published to live with all of the pages selected.

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a blank site with a widget page.
    2) Enable local staging.
    3) Go to the staging site page and click on Publish to Live button
    4) On the Publish to Live page, Click on the 'Switch to Advance Publish Process' link in the top-right
    5) In the form: Select the root node "Pages"
    6) Close the configuration page without publishing to live
    7) Add a new widget page
    8) Go to the staging site page and click on Publish to Live button
    9) On the Publish to Live page, Click on the 'Switch to Advance Publish Process' link in the top-right
    10) Assert the new page is selected automatically since the root node 'Pages' is selected
    11) Click on 'Publish to Live'
    12) Assert the publication is successful.
    13) Go to the live site.
    Expected Behavior: New page should be published.
    Observed Behavior: New page isn't published.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a DXP known bug that will be addressed by LPS-163681
