User clicks not tracked correctly

Issue

  • The number of hits goes up by 2

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1) Add "live.users.enabled=true" to portal-ext.properties and start portal
    2) Navigate to Control Panel > Monitoring
    3) View the number of hits
    4) Refresh the page (should count as one click)
    5) the number of hits goes up by one
    6) Refresh the page again
    Expected Behavior: The number of hits goes up by one as one click was made
    Observed Behavior: The number of hits goes up by 2

  • Liferay DXP 7.4 update 71

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known regression bug which is being addressed here: LPS-180396
