URL redirect not allowed in form submission

Issue

  • How do I direct my user to a specific URL when submitting a form?
  • I am not able to configure a specific URL to direct my user when submitting forms

Environment

  • DXP 7.4
  • Liferay PaaS
  • Liferay SaaS

Resolution

  • When trying to save a URL to redirect my user when submitting a form, the configuration is not saved and the following error is displayed in the UI:redirect-form-erro.png
  • To work around this situation, it is necessary to add the URL IP in the instance settings, in the path: Control Panel > Instance Settings > Pages > Redirect URL > Add the IP in a new field in Allowed IPs
  • In this example above, the IP shown in the image is the address wwww.google.com. The UI already automatically validated what the IP of that URL would be. Need only add in the path specified above. After these settings, the redirect happens successfully.
