Issue

  • It's not possible to sort the entries by using the External Reference Code

  • Steps to Reproduce:
    1) Create an object
    2) Create Field text
    3) Navigate to View tab > Create a Custom View > Mark as default
    4) Navigate to the View Builder tab > Add all columns
    5) Now, go to Default Sort tab > Add all Columns > Ascending and Save
    6) Publish the Object
    7) Add 2 Entry (Entry A and Entry B)
    8) Click on the arrows in the External reference indicator field and assert that the entries change position.
    Expected Behavior: The entries change position.
    Observed Behavior: The entries do not change position.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known DXP concern that is being addressed by LPS-169476
