Issue

Steps to reproduce:
1) Control Panel-> System Settings-> Search-> Search Web
2) Check the box and update
3) Create Widget Page
4) Drag the Search portlet on that page.
5) Search button is not inside the search box.

Expected Behavior: The search button should come inside the search box.
Observed Behavior: Search button is not aligned, coming outside of the search box.current-master.png

Environment

  • DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known issue/bug and has been fixed in liferay-fix-pack-dxp-8 and above.
  • If a hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting a hotfix by attaching patch details.
  • Installing Fix Packs and Hotfixes on LiferayDXP will guide you to install this hotfix in the respective environment.
