Issue
- My Basic Authentication was disabled at the Instance Level, and now I am unable to access the DXP Portal because of it. How do I re-enable Basic Authentication without logging in?
Environment
- Quarterly Release 2025.Q1.6
Resolution
- There is a way to re-enable Basic Authentication at the Instance Level by leveraging an OSGI configuration file. Here are the steps to accomplish this:
- Open a Browser Window and Navigate to your Home Page
- Open the Browser's Developer Tools and enter the following command into the console:
- Save the output. This is the CompanyID of the site
- Create a configuration file with the following name (the UUID does not matter):
- In the newly created configuration file, add the following lines, where CompanyID is replaced with the one saved in the earlier step:
- Configuration file is complete. Proceed to deploy the file under
- Basic Authentication should be enabled for this instance
