Issue

How to display two different types of content through the same web content?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

It is possible to use the same Web Content on different pages using the different layout/template. Please refer the below example for the same:

a) Create a Structure with two fields, i.e. Number Field & Text Field.

b) Create two Templates, add Number Field in one Template and add Text Field on another Template.

c) Add one Web Content using the above Structure.

d) Add two Web Content Display Portlet on two different pages.

e) Now go the Configuration of Web Content Display Portlet, use Specific Template for both the different Web Content Display Portlet.

For better clarification, refer to the GIF for the same.
