Product is not getting expired by its own

Issue

  • The product status is not getting changed to Expire.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    Navigate to Control Panel → Instance Settings. Then, navigate to Localization → Time Zone. 
    Navigate to Control Panel> Users and Organization> Select your user (test user in this case)> Preferences> Display Settings> Change time zone
    Navigate to Control Panel → System Settings. Once there, navigate to Catalog → Products. Changed the Check Interval value and click Save.
    Navigate to Control Panel> Commerce> Product Management> Products>
    1) Create a Simple product
    2) Publish it
    3) Edit the expiry date
    4) Expiry date has passed
    Expected Behavior: Product status should change to Expiry
    Observed Behavior: The status remains unchanged, and the product is approved status-of-product.png

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4 update 72 and below
  • Commerce 4.0
