Issue
- We are deploying Liferay using the Tomcat bundle and noticed the inclusion of a postgresql.jar file. Since our environment utilizes MySQL, can we safely remove this file from all our deployments? It's being stored in ./tomcat-9.0.75/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/shielded-container-lib/postgresql.jar
Resolution
- If you're using MySQL for your database it is safe to remove the postgresql.jar file, since this driver would only be needed if you're using PostgreSQL as your database.
