Issue

  • Sometimes on the logs appears below error 
    Caused by: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Metaspace
    This is caused because Metaspace value is set to 512 Megabytes. DXP 7.4 needs at least 768 Megabytes of Metaspace to work properly.

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS using DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • Add a new environment variable to liferay service via LCP.json: 
    "CATALINA_OPTS_METASPACE": "-XX:MaxMetaspaceSize=768m -XX:MetaspaceSize=768m"
