Issue
- Trying to use liferay:ui message taglib in a custom module is not using key provided in Language.properties
- view.jsp
<liferay-ui:message key="test.caption"/>
- Language.properties
test.caption=label translated
- Label rendered:
-
expected: label translated
-
current: test.caption
Resolution
There are two ways to resolve this issue:
- Add keys to the section "Languages Override" , which will replace the keys found and take preference over all locales added in your custom module.
- Note that you may need to remove
javax.portlet.resource-bundle=content.Language property from your Portlet's @Component annotation (see LPD-1300).
- Also note that, depending on your version, you may be affected by this bug: LPD-29412
- Modify bnd.bnd file in your custom module and add:
Provide-Capability:\
liferay.language.resources;\
resource.bundle.base.name="content.Language"
