Issue
- We have used the following two methods: (createResponseMessage) and (sendSynchronousMessage) in Liferay 7.0 for a long time. We are now upgrading to Liferay 7.4 and they are no longer working as they did.
Resolution
- These methods were removed by
LPS-167144 and LPS-166944 in an effort done to improve startup performance time.
- It was decided their naming was unclear in a way that indicates certain functionality, but in fact didn't provide any benefit to many developers and only added to the overhead of the call.
- If you have any further concerns for critical use cases and need alternative options please let us know.
