Issue
- I noted that Alpine OS is no longer available in the newer Liferay DXP docker images, they use Ubuntu instead
- I would like to know if Liferay plans to include Alpine OS again
Resolution
- Liferay does not plan to have the official docker images recompiled with Alpine OS
- We have migrated over to Ubuntu as an earlier Elasticsearch update caused it not to start up on Alpine (it is also not a supported distribution by Elasticsearch)
