  • How to delete the old data from Audit?

  • Liferay DXP 7.0

Resolution

Please note: The following information involves customizations that are beyond the scope of Liferay Support.  Please exercise appropriate discretion in the use of this information to choose or to customize the API based on your requirement. 

  • There is no OOTB option available to delete the old audit data. This might be achieved with some sort of customization as per the requirement.
  • AuditEventLocalServiceUtil() API is available which consists of delete methods like below. 
    • public static AuditEvent deleteAuditEvent(AuditEvent auditEvent)
      Notes: Deletes the audit event from the database. It also notifies the appropriate model listeners.
      public static AuditEvent deleteAuditEvent(long auditEventId) throws com.liferay.portal.kernel.exception.PortalException
      Notes: Deletes the audit event with the primary key from the database. It also notifies the appropriate model listeners.
