How can I restart just one Liferay node from the Cloud Console?

Issue

  • One node isn't working as expected, but I don't want to redeploy the entire Liferay service.

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS

Resolution

  • To restart the affected node:
    1. Navigate to the Liferay service shell
    2. Select the affected node from the dropdown menu
    3. Run the following commands in the shell 
      1. cd tomcat/bin/
      2. ./catalina.sh stop
