Drag & Drop zone is missing when uploading a image in web content

Issue

  • After installing DXP 7.1 FP18, the Drag & Drop zone is missing when uploading a image in web content. 
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Add a new web content structure with image field.
    2. Add a template for the structure created.
    3. Add a new web content using the structure create in step 1.
      1. Click 'Select' in the image field.
      2. Go to 'Documents and Media' tab.
  • Expected behavior: Drag & Drop zone can be displayed in 'Documents and Media' tabScreenshot_from_2021-04-29_16-23-23.png
  • Actual behavior: Drag & Drop zone is missing in 'Documents and Media' tabScreenshot_from_2021-04-29_16-23-28.png

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1 FP17, and blew.

Resolution

  • The Drag & Drop zone is not displayed in 'Documents and Media' tab is because workflow is enabled for 'Documents and Media' root folder. The uploaded image should be prevented from being added to the web content as the image has not been approved.
  • The behavior on FP18 is intended behavior.
  • Before Liferay DXP 7.1 FP17 and blew, the Drag & Drop zone can be displayed even when workflow is enabled on Documents and Media. This was fixed in LPS-104547 and the fix is included in FP18 onward.
