Issue

  • I would like to configure the comments section in a Web Content Display to show comments in descending order by modification date (from newest to oldest). By default, they are displayed in ascending order (from oldest to newest).

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • The order of how comments appear below an Asset (e.g. Web Content Display, Blog, Message board) cannot be modified. This is a limitation of the product.
  • There are plans to implement order options in future Liferay versions, and the Product Team is currently considering the implementation. Please see details in LPS-78256.
