Issue
- Difference between "Certified" and "Supported" Environments
Resolution
-
The difference between certified and supported is related to amount of testing the technology by our Quality Assurance(QA) Team.
- Here, certified means that the combination of mentioned application has gone through the automated regression and certification testing by our QA Team and Liferay will fully support issues associated with Liferay portal and its plugins basically in these particular configurations when the issue arises. Therefore, it basically means that QA team has executed almost all the test cases and hence use the terminology as certified.
- Whereas, regarding to supported environment, the testing is done on daily basis and we assure that it is compatible with Liferay but there may be some scenarios which may have not been tested, though, in case of any product bug Liferay will be provide the fix from the product side for both, certified as well as supported integrations.
