Issue

  • Trying to set the Allow administrator true to create and execute code in Liferay settings in Script Management using Client Extensions, but the setting remains unchanged after deployment.

Example client-extension.yaml configuration:

liferay-sample-instance-settings-e9b8w3:
name: Liferay Sample Instance Settings E9B8W3
pid: com.liferay.portal.security.script.management.configuration.ScriptManagementConfiguration
allowScriptContentToBeExecutedOrIncluded: true
type: instanceSettings

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4+

Resolution

  • Client Extensions can only configure Instance Settings. The Allow administrator to create and execute code in Liferay setting in Script Management is a System Setting and cannot be modified using Client Extensions.
