Issue

  • Stage and Topic vocabularies recreate again in the global site

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1) Navigate to the Global site
    2) Assert that Topic, Stage, and Audience vocabularies have been created
    3) Control Panel > Instance Settings > Localization (Change the default language, for example, to Spanish)
    4) In the Global site, navigate to Categories again
    5) Edit Stage vocabulary, the Spanish value for 'Name': Fase can be seen. Now, no need to change anything, just click 'Save'
    6) Do the same with Topic (Tema) vocabulary.
    7) Check those vocabularies after restarting the server.
Expected Behavior: Global vocabularies should be: Stage, Topic, and Audience
Observed Behavior: Stage and Topic vocabularies recreated again. There are 5 vocabularies now:
    Stage
    Topic
    Audience
    Topic
    Stage

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3
  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known bug addressed by LPS-153630, which is already included in Liferay DXP 7.3 Update 7 and Liferay DXP 7.4 Update 27
