Effective content and asset management is essential for successful digital experiences. Liferay’s Classic CMS provides a comprehensive suite of tools for both Content Management and Digital Asset Management (DAM), enabling organizations to deliver impactful content solutions.

Effective content and asset management is essential for successful digital experiences.

In Liferay’s Classic CMS, content management centers on two primary applications: Web Content (for structured content items) and Documents and Media (for file-based resources). Determining how to leverage them effectively depends on key strategic decisions. For example, where you plan to store your content, how you define your content models, and the display methods you'll use. Here, you’ll explore how to make these decisions to build effective and maintainable content solutions.

This course primarily focuses on empowering content managers and other business users to create and manage content effectively in Liferay. It does not require technical expertise, though it does assume a basic familiarity with Liferay’s site building and content management capabilities. If these concepts are new to you, consider taking the Foundation of Content Management course first.
