MCP Server Data Masking
MCP Server Data Masking is a built-in privacy safeguard for Liferay’s AI capabilities. Whenever an AI assistant retrieves information from the platform to answer a question or complete a task, this feature automatically scans the response for the masks configured and hides any personal or sensitive data — such as email addresses, phone numbers, or credit card numbers — before it ever reaches the AI provider. Administrators can customize which types of data are protected relating the profiles to the created masks and can grant specific exceptions when a particular AI Hub or LLM genuinely needs access to certain information to do its job.
