Adapting new framework to headless APIs

Liferay’s headless APIs for content pages are being extended to support the full range of page creation and configuration operations, making it possible to build, update, and manage pages entirely through APIs. Currently, many page operations require the Liferay UI, this work removes that constraint for headless and automated workflows.

Key Benefits:

  • Enables fully automated page creation and management workflows via API, without requiring UI access
  • Supports headless site-building scenarios where external tools or DevOps pipelines control page structure
  • Reduces manual steps in multi-environment deployments by allowing pages to be scripted and version-controlled
