Mercanet for Commerce 2.0 and Earlier Versions

Liferay supports Mercanet as a payment method out of the box. Since Mercanet accepts only EUR, the store’s primary currency must be EUR.

Prerequisites

  1. Generate credentials
  2. Set EUR as the primary store currency.
  3. Activate Mercanet as a Payment Method.

Generate Credentials

Before configuring your store to use Mercanet, you must generate the following:

  1. Mercanet Merchant ID
  2. Secret Key
  3. Key Version

Set EUR as the Primary Store Currency

When using Mercanet, your store must use Euro as the primary currency.

  1. Open the Global Menu (Applications Menu icon) and navigate to CommerceCurrencies.

  2. Click Actions (Actions icon) next to Euro and select Set as Primary.

Euro is now set as the primary currency.

Activate Mercanet as a payment method

  1. Navigate to Site Administration → Commerce → Settings → Payment Methods.

  2. Click Payment Methods.

  3. Click Mercanet.

  4. Click Configuration.

  5. Enter the following details:

    • Merchant ID
    • Secret Key
    • Key Version
  6. Select Production if it is a live site or Test or Simulation if it is a test environment.

    Configure the settings for Mercanet.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Click Actions (Actions icon) next to Mercanet, then Activate.
