The following is a checklist for getting blogs to stage if you're experiencing difficulties. While the example is blogs, this could apply to any content.
Resolution
When attempting to stage blog content:
- Before turning on staging, be sure to check Blogs. By default, Blogs are not checked. If left unchecked, exporting a .LAR from the blog portlet will yield no data.
- If staging has already been turned with Blogs unchecked, do the following:
- Completely turn off staging.
- Check Blogs before saving and enable staging again.
- If turning staging off is undesirable, you can do the following:
- Click the Blog portlet to add to the existing Staging environment (entries will now disappear in staging.)
- Navigate to page where blog is instantiated and use the 'Copy page from Live' feature. This can be found by clicking Manage > Page > Copy from Live.
- On the Staging page, blog entries will now be present.
- From here you can export a .LAR containing all entries.
