Issue

While updating Multi-Language friendly URL for the Hindi language as "/hi_IN" for the new page below error is observed:

"Please enter a friendly URL that does not conflict with the keyword /hi. "

Environment

  • Liferay 6.2

Resolution

This is intended behavior of Liferay, as, this is to prevent users from creating pages with friendly URLs prefixed with language codes:
https://github.com/liferay/liferay-portal/blob/master/portal-impl/src/com/liferay/portal/service/impl/LayoutLocalServiceHelper.java#L431-L447

Additional Information

Based on this LPS-27075 I would like to inform you that localization keys can't be at the beginning of layout friendly URLs so that it does not conflict with the language codes.
