Issue

  • Existing orders were edited from the admin page, for example quantity was increased or decreased and price was modified. After making these changes, the total price remains unchanged and displays the previously calculated value.

  • Steps that were followed:
      1. Navigate to the order admin page
      2. Select or search any order and edit it
      3. Click the 3 dots next to a product and select edit
      4. Change the quantity (Increase or Decrease)

Result: total value of a product remains unchanged and displays the older value.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Commerce 2.1.2

Resolution

  • This function was designed to work the way it has been described above.
  • When manually changing something in the order, or order items, the order itself is set as "manually adjusted" and therefore further calculation will not be done against it.
  • This has been designed to give more flexibility to orders' managers and customer support. This is why recalculations are not done on these kinds of orders.
