Page getting deleted after disabling Remote Live Staging

Issue

  • Page is getting deleted after disabling 'Remote-Live Staging'.
  • Reproduction Steps:
    1. Setup 2 Liferay environments, one for staging and one for live.
    2. Create a page in the staging environment and add some content to it.
    3. Configure staging.
    4. No need for Staging Publish.
    5. Check the page in the staging environment again - it is visible
    6. Disable Remote Staging
    7. Check the page again
    Expected result: The page should be available in the staging environment and should not get deleted.
    Actual result: Page was deleted from staging environment.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2 fix pack 9
  • Liferay DXP 7.3 GA1

Resolution

  • It's a known issue and resolved in Liferay DXP 7.2 fix pack 11 and Liferay DXP 7.3 fix pack 1.
  • If the hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting the hotfix by attaching the patch details.
  • Installing Fix Packs and Hotfixes on Liferay DXP will guide to install this hotfix in the respective environment.
