Issue
- If a user presses the Tab key when the URL is highlighted, a "Skip to Content" button appears. Selecting this button with your mouse does not appear to do anything.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.0
- Liferay DXP 7.1
- Liferay DXP 7.2
- Liferay DXP 7.3
Resolution
- The Skip to Content button was added so that users who are accessing the page with only a keyboard could skip directly to the content on the page without having to navigate through buttons in the header and sidebar.
- For example, suppose a user selects tab after highlighting the URL and is brought to the Skip to Content button. If they continue to press tab, the different navigation buttons in the header and then the sidebar will be highlighted for selection each time, before finally reaching the content on the page. However, if they press enter when the Skip to Content button is highlighted, they will be brought directly to the content on the page.
