Issue

  • I would like to have a predefined value for a field in a Liferay form.
  • Is it possible to pass this predefined value using a URL query parameter?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0 or higher.

Resolution

  • Passing a predefined value to a form field is not a functionality available in Liferay Forms.
  • The standard way to achieve this is to use the Predefined Value option for that field.
