Issue
When installing Adaptive Media 2.0.20 to Liferay DXP 7.0, it doesn't work, and the journal service override module described in the documentation doesn't work either.
Environment
- Liferay 7.0 DXP
- Adaptive media 2.0.20
Resolution
Double-check the version compatibilities of Adaptive Media. Liferay DXP 7.0 is only compatible with Adaptive Media Version 1.0.1., and not with Version 2.0.20.
The solution is to use the 1.0.1 version without installing another module. Based on the article (https://help.liferay.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017876372-Installing-Adaptive-Media) when running Liferay Portal CE 7.0 GA6+, or Liferay DXP with Fix Pack 35+, then installing the Adaptive Media app is all that need to do, there is no need to apply an extra module, such as the journal service override module.
If you applied the module already, removing the com.liferay.journal.service.jar from osgi override, will solve the problem.
