Issue
- Site Member are able to add files from the Asset Publisher without adding explicit permissions
Environment
- Liferay Portal 6.2
- Liferay DXP 7.0
- Liferay DXP 7.1
- Liferay DXP 7.2
- Liferay DXP 7.3
- Liferay DXP 7.4
Resolution
- Documents and Media's default permissions include Add Document in the Home Folder permissions to every site member. An administrator can remove that permission from the Documents and Media > Home Folder Permissions. This action is enough to avoid that Site Members can add documents through the Asset Publisher (remove the action button).
- The default permissions are also added to every folder that the administrator creates in the Documents and Media if he does not edit the default permissions on creation time, but folder's permission can be managed folder by folder from the Documents and Media. Take into account that permissions are not inherited in the Documents and Media folder's hierarchy.
