Issue

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Start Liferay DXP 7.3
    2. Create a Document Type.
    3. Create a folder in the Documents & Media portlet.
    4. Open the created folder and choose a file to upload.
    5. Change the document type (the page reloads, thus the file input resets)
    6. Click publish.
    Expected Result: A warning message must be shown when the user hits Publish with an empty File input.
    Actual Result: The file upload is successful, but no file is actually uploaded.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known Liferay DXP bug.
  • If the hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting the hotfix by attaching the patch details.
  • Applying a hotfix will guide to installation of the hotfix in the respective environment.
