Issue
- Pre-assigned roles are being issued/revoked during the "Assign Roles" action when using multiple pages during the "Assign Roles" stage. When navigating through multiple pages, a previously issued/revoked role will auto-revert back to its initial setting when navigating back to the page.
- Example:
- Step 1: Page 1, The Site Administrator role's original setting is currently selected.
- Step 2: Unselect the Site Administrator role.
- Step 3: Navigate to Page 2.
- Step 4: Navigate back to Page 1, the Site Administrator role has reverted back to its original setting and is selected.
Resolution
- There are three different options for a resolution.
- Option 1: When unchecking/checking the roles, without navigating to the previous page and clicking "Done", the roles that are newly issued/revoked are saved correctly. It does not revert back to its original setting. If navigating between the multiple "Role" pages after assigning/revoking new roles, the new roles will not save and will revert back to their original setting.
- Option 2: Limit how many roles are created
- Option 3: Change the pagination to include more entries. Alter the portal-ext.properties file to increase the default value.
