Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

    1. Navigate to Control Panel >Users and Organizations > Create a user
    2. After this, navigate to the control panel > Roles > Click on the add button. Create a new role named maker
    3. Then, go to maker >assignees >add the user that was created in step 1
    4. Then, go to define permissions >Site and Asset Library Administration >Content & Data → Web Content.
    5. Select Access in Site and Asset Library Administration.
    6. Select only view and update.
    7. Click on Save.
Now, the role-based user named 'Maker' is only able to update the web content.
