Issue
- I have a page for displaying document search results, and it takes too long to load (several seconds).
- My site has hundreds of content pages, each containing dozens of widgets (including those from the master page).
Resolution
- If this scenario aligns with your site's setup, the 'View in Context' option within the Search Results widget configuration might be contributing to the delay.
- This feature, when enabled, attempts to locate either a Display Page Template for documents or their native application (in the case of documents, specifically the Documents and Media widget) across any page on your site. Its purpose is to present a document within its designated context when you click on it.
- However, with a large volume of pages and widgets, this process can consume significant time, potentially leading to performance slowdowns.
- If you don't have a Display Page Template for documents nor a Documents and Media widget, consider disabling the 'View in Context' option within the Search Results widget configuration.
