Issue
- When trying to access a user's private page, we are transferred to a "404 Page Not Found" error page instead of the Login page that we were expecting.
Environment
- DXP 7.4
- Quarterly Release
Resolution
- Not being able to access a user's private pages is the expected behavior despite enabling the Login prompt from this documentation, Not Found page seen instead of Login Prompt when logged out and navigating to private pages.
- Requesting a user's private pages will not trigger a login prompt even if the login prompt is enabled. This is to prevent a malicious user from carrying a user enumeration attack because the user's screen name is in the URL.
- The login prompt will only populate when trying to access a private page from a regular site, it will not populate when trying to access a user's private page.
